With the dissolvable backing material, you can make beautiful embroidery on thin fabrics such as organdy and batiste or thicker materials such as towels and corduroy.Other backing material, which are normally left under the embroidery make the fabric stiff and rough. Brother water soluble backing material however can be dissolved so that it does not remain in the embroidery, giving a softer and more beautiful result.
