Some say, the one you will like best is the one you ate growing up. It is indeed true. Back when I was little, I remembered sitting alongside with my mother and my mother’s friends as they gathered and baked together. And we baked the all kids’ favourite kuih bahulu – golden brown little cake that is crisp on the outside, soft in the inside. It is a fave of mine too. Not only its softness and luscious taste that made it the fondest memory of my childhood, but the experience has also meant a lot to me. It is one of the best moment to cherish and savour, for the simple enjoyment, and for the conversation that connect one another.
